Where Do I Begin?
Where Do I Begin?
You've now seen the bigger picture. Cybersecurity isn't just about hackers. It exists because the world depends on digital systems. It's an ecosystem with dozens of career paths. People from different educational backgrounds can build successful careers in it. And no, you don't need to know everything before you begin. But here's one final question. Where do you actually start? Most beginners make the same mistake. They jump straight into ethical hacking tools, penetration testing, or Kali Linux because those topics seem exciting. But imagine trying to build the roof of a house before laying the foundation. It simply doesn't work. Cybersecurity is built on understanding technology. To protect a system, you first need to understand how that system works. How does a computer store information? How does an operating system manage files and users? How do devices communicate over a network? How does the internet connect millions of computers around the world? Once you understand these foundations, cybersecurity starts making sense. You'll stop memorizing concepts and start understanding them. And that's exactly how this learning journey is designed. In the next playlist, we'll begin with the fundamentals—not because they're easy, but because they're essential. Every cybersecurity expert, regardless of their specialization, stands on the same foundation. So don't rush. Build it well. Because the stronger your fundamentals, the stronger your career will be. I'll see you in the next playlist, where we begin with the foundations of cybersecurity.
